Heart shape and bun hairstyle

Equipments:

ü  Hair pins

ü  Hair clips

ü  A hair bobble

ü  An apron

ü  Sectioning clips

ü  A tail comb

ü  A comb

ü  Padding x2

ü  A hair crimper

Step 1: Wash your hands before getting started. Ask the model to put on the apron.
2: Divide the hair into sections and leave bottom part of the hair at the back to do the bun afterwards. Secure the sections with hair bobble.
3: Crimp the whole hair (except the hair that was tied on the previous step) using the hair crimper.
4: After that, place the padding horizontally and measure where you want to place the padding on the head. If you have decided where you want to place it, divide the hair into two sections, create a plait across the head and secure it with bobby pins. Then, pin the padding on the plaits using the hair pins as well.

5: Grab and wrap the bottom part of the hair around the pad and put the top part of the hair over so the padding and no gaps will be seen. Secure the hair with hair pins.

6: On the second step, I have left a section of hair to create the bun shape. So in order to create the bun shape, tied and secure the hair properly. Then, divide the ponytail into 4 equal sections. Take a section from the pony tail and lifted the hair high. Back comb the hair close to the hair band to the mid length of the hair. Push the hair over and comb the top bits of the hair to make the hair smooth. Roll the hair and use the hairclips to secure the shape. Make sure the shape is completely square and facing outwards.
7: Continue and do the same for the other 3 sections of the ponytail.

Thoughts about the lesson:
In order to improve next time, I think I should put the paddings higher, so the heart shape will be seen more clearly, but I’m impressed about the final results this time. My model has got short hair and it is difficult for me to create the bun on her hair, so I have tried my best to create a small bun shape at the back of her head.
