These are the photos from Vogue Italia November 2006 and the hairstylist is Eugene Souleiman. The hairstyles link to the Elizabethans because the use of curls, padding and frizzy texture on the models. Among the six photos from above, my favourite hairstyle is the top right one. The style features a padding at the top and I like how one side of the hair is frizzed (brush out) while the other side remain the patterns of the curls (didn't brush out). The use of white complexion links to the Elizabethans as it is one of the features for the Elizabethans to show wealth and beauty. The colour white and gold on the model's clothes also related to the Elizabethans because white and gold symbolise wealth and purity. On the first photo (top left), the model is wearing a dress which has got a big shoulder design with a slender waist which links to the Elizabethans as they liked to emphasize their shoulders and waist. On the bottom left photo, the model was wearing a big ruff collar around her neck and it related to the Elizabethans as well because the bigger the ruff that the Elizabethan wore, the wealthy and beautiful they were during Elizabethan era. In some of the photos from above, black was worn by the models and the colour black is one of the important colour in the Elizabethan era to show upper class status, authority and power.
