The Kitchener Portrait is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I and it features curly, frizzy hair. As you can see at the front, Elizabeth's hair is heart-shaped and the reason they did that is because it will show a wider and taller forehead as taller forehead is important to them because it symbolised intelligence.

Contemporary Example of Elizabethans heart-shaped hairstyle

The heart-shaped hairstyle reminds me of Corrie Nielsen's Autumn/ Winter 2011 catwalk show because some of the looks from the catwalk features a heart-shaped hairstyle with frizzy texture which related to the Elizabethans. I like how amazing it looks at the front and also the way the hairstyle gives a feminine finish to the whole look.
